ABOUT

I’m a Toronto native. I studied a lot of technical junk while deepening my awareness of nature. At some point on some calendar, I moved to Tokyo, Japan. I took up photography.

Through photography I sense and intuit appearances, physics, philosophy, and my self. Light and movement; time. Memories in time and memories in space. The texture and symbols of the visual world are repeating themes, like songs in films.

Themes inform my identity, whether I recognize them or not. Like a photograph you love, but don’t know why. A subjective eye can interpret the past, rewrite a story, and mine meaning from memories like blinding lighting and world-rocking thunder. Makes room for creation.

Now I am unlearning, and documenting the journey: the collision of my memories with my awareness of the present moment.
